Done Deal: Trey Nyoni

Trey Nyoni joins LFC Academy

| Highly-rated Midfielder |

Trey Nyoni has joined Liverpool FC’s academy from Leicester City Football Club for an undisclosed fee. Nyoni qualifies to play for England and Zimbabwe but has already played for the England under-16 side on 6 occasions.

Described as an ‘all-action midfielder’, Nyoni possesses a great engine and sound technical ability. He will now continue his development at LFC’s academy under the tutelage of academy director, Alex Inglethorpe.

Nyoni will wear the number 8 shirt for the Liverpool under-18 side. He had recently made the jump into Leicester’s under-18 side, playing 13 games in the u18 premier league last season and contributing 2 goals and 1 assist.

He will hope to walk the path of previous academy graduates Curtis Jones and Trent Alexander-Arnold as he tries to break into the first team at LFC.

| More to Come? |

Liverpool fans will be hoping there are more additions to the squad between now and the close of the transfer window on September 1.

André from Fluminense is a box-to-box midfield who has been tracked by Klopp for a while now. According to various sources, personal terms have been agreed upon between Liverpool and the player. However, Fluminense are very reluctant to sell during the Brazilian season which ends in December.

Perr Schuurs is another player linked with a switch to Anfield. The left-sided centre-back currently plays for Torino in Serie A and has been linked with a switch to both Newcastle and Liverpool in recent times. He would provide an alternate option to Virgil Van Dijk on the left-hand side of defence and is reportedly being monitored closely by the Reds.
